Data Base Mirroring in SQL server 2005 Express Edition

HI,

Does SQL server 2005 Express Edition or

Does SQL server 2005 Express Edition Sp1 supports Data base Mirroring?

Here is direct quote from BOL,

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188712.aspx

Before you use the Mirroring page to configure database mirroring, ensure that the following requirements have been met:

The principal and mirror server instances must be running the same edition of SQL Server-either Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition. Also, we strongly recommend that they run on comparable systems that can handle identical workloads.

Note:

The witness server instance can run on SQL Server Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition, Workgroup Edition, or Express Edition.

Dashboard Guage type graph?

Hi,
I am on RS sp1, I have developed several reports bases on Analysis Services
cubes. I use in the reports several pie, bar, etc charts. I would like to
know if there is a Dashboard type Guage chart ( sort of like a speedometer
in the dashboard of one's car) in the RS graphicas library, maybe not built
in but can be added to the RS existing Graphics library, where I can use it
seemlesly as if it wa part of the product. If an addition exists, how do I
get it and what is the procedure to add it in.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Message posted via http://www.sqlmonster.comwould't that be nice. The extensions RS are very expensive. Every executive
now wants some sort of analog guage to display the overall aggregates of
their metrics at different levels of the enterprise.

You could try creating a background image that gives the appearance of
the dashboard, then use a pie-chart with 2 values to act as the guage.
If you place it just right, you may be able to simulate the "Guage"
appearance you want.
Good luck!

Customizing Font Colors

I thought I read somewhere here that SP1 would allow us to customize the
font color to any RGB combination. I downloaded SP1, but still don't see
how I would be able to do that? Is it something I have to do through an
expression? I tried using =RGB(x,y,z), but the editor returns "The color
expression used in textbox, textbox1 returned a datatype that is not valid."
Anyone have any idea?
Thanks,
LisaThis has nothing to do with SP1. You could always specify a color as hex
HTML color string in the form #HHHHHH. See
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/dhtml/reference/colors/colors.asp.
The SP1 feature is specifically about colors of series in charts.
